sunburns

So what do you do when you've got a sunburn. When your skin is red and painful after a day in the sun, it is a little too late to talk about applying spf. What you need is something to soothe in burn and heal your skin.

In Australia, women would rub slices of cucumber over the burn to soothe the pain. I wouldn't advise that though. A pharmacist told me about a customer who did just that. Normally, the cucumber would soothe the burn. In that unfortunate instance, the acidity in the cucumber was higher than normal and she ended up with an acid burn as well as a sun burn.

99% Pure Aloe Vera Gel, 4 oz, Mill Creek Botanicals

99% Pure Aloe Vera Gel Relieves minor skin irritations, sunburn and insect bites. 4 ounce size.

The safer way is to slather on pure aloe vera gel. I'd count on the aloe vera gel I'd buy from the store, that is more than 99% pure aloe vera gel and colorless.

The other solution is to use pure lavender essential oil. Not spike lavender, mind you, but lavender angustifolia pure essential oil.

Or you could try one of these skin care products that sooth sunburns.
