lip brushes
Professionals use lip brushes to paint the lips of their clients. The application is more precise as compared to slicking it on straight from the tube. You use less lipstick as you pick up as much or as little you need for sufficient coverage. No more gloopy lips. You get that sophisticated finish instead.

Another trick makeup artists use to get that perfect color is to mix two or more shades together. That is easily done with a lip brush. Using a clean lip brush, dab the bristles into the lipstick and scrape out some of it, putting that on the back of a clean hand. (Wash and dry hands first). Then take a little of the second lipstick and put that beside the first, on the back of your hand. Take a little of each color and mix them together, using the back of your hand as a palette, adding more of each color until the final blend is something you like. Then paint the blend onto the lips with the lip brush.
