Chanel Precision Hydramax Review

I have been using Chanel Precision Hydramax+ for 2 weeks already. Here's my review.

To begin with, I have problematic skin. I'll be 40 on my next birthday and should be using antiaging products but whenever I try, I get pimples. I have acne prone skin that breaks out easily. I get rashes easily too. I need moisture because my skin is dehydrated on the surface with fine lines but I cannot tolerate oil or anything rich on my face as it would react with pimples. Basically, my skin has plenty of oil, but too little water. Most moisturizers deliver both oil and water, which worsens my skin's oiliness and usually, I end up with those tiny pimples all over my face due to the product clogging up my skin.

It is on this turbulent skin that I have been testing Chanel Hydramax, using it every morning as a day cream.

From what I understand, this cream contains a patented ingredient that delivers moisture to the skin's deepest layers, boosting the skin's moisture level significantly. (100% boost from what I've read). Sounds like exactly what I need. Moisture as in water, to relieve the dehydrated skin and prevent the fine lines from becoming permanent.

After 2 weeks of this Chanel moisture boost cream --> its other name :)
My skin is still clear. Phew. None of those pimples resulting from an over-rich product has appeared. Hence, this cream is excellent for people who need moisture but not the oil. 2 weeks is too short to see long term effect on the lines but my skin feels soft and this cream certainly agrees with my temperamental skin.

This pale blue cream is a delight to use. It has a light, floral scent that is tasteful. The texture of the cream is soft and it is a joy to apply. It scores in pampering points over its medicinal cousins which are effective but more like something from a doctor's office than a luxurious spa.

A look at the ingredients list shows that this is a no-nonsense skincare cream. It is chock full of vitamins and plant extracts. The antioxidants vitamin E (tocopherol), vitamin B as in panthenol, citric acid which improves skin health (vitamin C boosts collagen production), and vitamin A (palmitate) another potent antioxidant.

Glycerin, a humectant that binds moisture to the skin is also found in Chanel Hydramax.

As for plant extracts, there's Crithmum marticmum extract, hydrolyzed yeast protein (yeast masks are a home remedy for the skin) lavendula stoechas extract (lavender which soothes and heals the skin) and cassin angustifolia seed.

If you are looking for an antiaging moisturizer, buy this because it nourishes all skin types.
