Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser

When I had a horrendous acne breakout, coupled with a scaly rash all over my face, I needed something gentle enough to cleanse my face without worsening the rash. At the same time it had to be thorough enough so as not to aggravate the acne. The neighbourhood stores only carry drugstore brands and I wasn't going down town for my supplies so I had to stick to whatever's available here.

In the end, I picked Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser and it worked. When I say it worked, I don't mean it cleared the acne or rash. All I was looking for was something I could use that would not hurt my skin any further. At that point of time, my skin was so painful, so itchy, all I wanted to do was to dunk my head in a bucket of ice.

I've got the bottle in front of me but threw away the packaging some time back so I don't have the list of ingredients. Basically, this clear golden liquid is a soap that cleanses thoroughly without any oil, lathers well and rinses off completely. Unlike conventional soap, it does not dry the skin. Skin is left feeling comfortable and clean. Though the rash is gone and the acne is improving, I'm sticking with this cleanser. Right now, my skin is in no mood to try new stuff. Besides, this is an affordable cleanser that works.

It also comes in a stronger version for oily skin and for acne, but I find they all work fine for me. I just grab whatever's available at the pharmacy when I need it.
