Clarins purifying cleansing gel

I tried Purifying Cleansing Gel for oily skin. It has a nice lather, smells zesty and feels refreshing. It cleanses thoroughly and leaves my oily skin feeling squeaky clean.

The lightweight lather of this ultra-gentle, alcohol-free gel eliminates all surface impurities to help neutralize the risk of skin imperfections. Water-rinsable, it leaves the skin fresh and healthy-looking.

I agree with what they say. It rinses off easily with water and leaves skin feeling very clean without any residue. Although it is meant for oily skin, my skin likes it. Most oily skin care products contain alcohol which can irritate sensitive skin. This doesn"t have any alcohol. It is gentle enough for my sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin.

Actions of this product as stated on the packaging is as follows:
Gently cleanses, elimiating make-up and dead skin cells which can block pores. Helps regulate sebaceous secretions and continually balance the skin"s hydrolipidic film. Helps tighten pores and refine skin texture for a brighter, more radiant complexion.

Come to think of it, my skin WAS clearer and free of acne when I was using Clarins Purifying cleansing gel. I stopped because of my budget and would use it again if I could.

This Clarins cleansing gel contains 11% plant extracts, is dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Everything sensitive, acne prone skin needs. Going through the ingredients, I found that it contains salicylic acid, which helps clear pimples. One of the top ingredients is hamamelis virginiana, or witch hazel which is excellent for oil-control in oily skin. In fact, witch hazel is often used as a toner for oily skin or skin with acne.

This is what you"ll find in this cleanser. Going through the list of ingredients makes me want to start using this again once I"ve got the cash. I used to see a doctor (GP) monthly about my acne, she"d do treatments in her clinic, akin to the facials by beauticians, to keep her patient"s skin clear. She advised me to use a cleanser with Triclosan when I"d finish using the cleanser she dispensed to me after each treatment. This cleansing gel contains triclosan that kills the bacteria that causes acne.
