Cassis Rose tried and tested

I finally bought Cassis Rose from The Body Shop. For weeks, I had been going there undecided as to which fragrance to get, testing a different scent each day. I already got White Musk but wanted something different and I have always been partial to rose.

Well, at a sale, I bought Cassis rose shower gel and cassis rose body lotion. I tested the body mist at the store but was adamant only to get what was on sale so it was just the shower gel and lotion for now. But I will keep an eye out for the rest of the line.

The shower gel was delightful when I actually used it. The entire shower smelled of roses with a trace of fruity scent. It is not a purely rose scent which can get boring. I guess they would not give away their trade secrets by listing all the components of the scent, but this is a light rose fragrance that is young, fresh and very wearable without any risk of offending anyone.

In other words, Cassis Rose is a pleasant fragrance. Feminine (rose based fragrances are feminine) sweet but not overpowering. The scent is light. Good for the office or for home. Can be worn all the time as a signature scent. Safe for use in a crowded lift. You won"t suffocate anyone with this scent.

The body lotion is a lighter scent but lacked that fruity tinge that I liked. Wish it was stronger. Looks like layering is necessary with this range. Next on my shopping list: Cassis Rose body mist and perfume oil.
